Read more →Ask most business owners about setting up a WhatsApp AI and they'll tell you it's complicated. And until recently, they'd be right.
The traditional route involves applying for Meta Business API access (which takes weeks), hiring a developer to build the integration, choosing and configuring an AI model, training it on your content, and setting up a management system for your conversations. Months of work. Thousands of pounds.
TagChat does all of that for you. Here's how to be live in 10 minutes.
That's it. No developer. No Meta account. No AI knowledge.
Go to app.tagchat.io and start your free trial. Choose your plan — Starter at £10/mo covers most small businesses — and complete the 14-day free trial signup. No charge until day 15.
During signup you'll choose a 4-character tag prefix — a short code that identifies your business. Something like CAFE or HOTL or FYRI. This appears on all your QR codes.
In the dashboard, click Add Tag. Give your item a name — "Nespresso Machine", "Boiler", "Room 4 TV". Write a description of the item and add the most common questions as FAQs.
TagChat has an AI FAQ suggestion tool — type the item name and it generates 5-10 relevant questions and answers automatically. Edit them to match your situation and you're done.
Click Download QR on your tag. Choose your style — Classic, Bare, or Rectangle label format. Download the PNG or PDF and print it.
For a holiday let, print on sticker paper and attach to each appliance. For a museum, print on card and mount next to each exhibit. For a business, print on label tape for equipment labels.
That's it. The QR code is live the moment you print it. Customers scan with their phone camera, WhatsApp opens, and the AI answers their questions using everything you wrote in step 2.
The whole process takes about 10 minutes and requires no technical knowledge whatsoever.
If a customer asks something your AI doesn't know, TagChat flags it as an escalation and emails you. You reply from the app — the reply goes directly to the customer's WhatsApp. With one click you can add your answer as a FAQ so it's handled automatically next time.
After a few weeks, the AI handles almost everything.
TagChat detects the customer's language automatically from their phone number and replies in their language. Your FAQs stay in English. French customers get French replies. No configuration needed.
Starter plan: £10/mo — 10 tags, 50 conversations per month, all features included. 14-day free trial, no charge until day 15.
For most small businesses, the Starter plan covers everything you need. The Growth plan (£35/mo) covers 50 tags for larger operations.
